'Gunshin'(軍神) means 'god of war'

We got the inspiration for this BJJ Gi from a general, Yi sun-sin of Joseon (dynastic kingdom). He is the most famous and well-known general in Korea. 

The 8 letters on the sleeves came from a verse of his poem. 

It's as follows.

三尺誓天 山河動色
As I swore to heaven with a long sword, the mountains and rivers trembled with fear.

一揮掃蕩 血染山河
As I defeated the enemies with one sword stroke, the mountains and rivers were stained with blood.

And the battles patched on the jacket skirt are his biggest victories.
He won the Battle of Myeongryang against 133 Japanese ships with 12 ships. The number 12 on the jacket symbolizes it.
